This week in Tokyo a VR porn festival shut down due to overcrowding. Hugo Award nominated Chuck Tingle has also released a new short erotica book called “Pounded by the pound” after the results of Brexit.
Tokyo VR porn festival shut down because of over crowding
Virtual reality porn has really taken off in this past year, with Pornhub even creating it’s own subsection for it. However it’s Japan that’s really going full steam ahead with the technology, and a group of VR enthusiasts decided to showcase their work in the first Japanese VR porn festival.
The show which was due to open at 2pm had to be shut down however when much larger than expected crowds arrived hours earlier. The overflowing street outside quickly got out of control and tensions rose between impatient attendees.
The show was shut down, and as of yet there has been no news of another one taking place. The massive popularity of the first attempt does show interest from the general public and I would be surprised if a more official show isn’t announced within the year.
The technology showcased included hand-job robots, air boob simulators and full on sex dolls. I didn’t see anything close to this at the AVNs in America this year, but I would be surprised if the west didn’t start taking an interest.
