As expected, this week there are more scandals coming out of the Rio Olympics 2016. A brazilian olympic diver’s sex marathon has caused the split of her team. In other news, laser beam wielding exhibitionists dressed as pigs and 3D printed clitorises.
Brazilian Olympic diver’s sex marathon splits up her team
Ingrid Oliveira, of the Brazilian diving team, kicked out her diving partner and roommate the night before they’re scheduled dives at the olympics, in favour of a sex marathon with fellow olympian Pedro Goncalves.
The curvaceous 20 year old has been criticised for her behaviour before. She posted a photo of herself in her swimsuit at the Pan American Games in Toronto, where she had her diving partner Giovanna Pedroso took silver last year. The photo showed off her well toned bum.
Despite the backlash, many argue she doesn’t deserve the flack. Commenters point out she was simply wearing her swimsuit, and it’s no different to volleyball players who wear bikinis.
Oliveira and Pedroso came last in the 10m dive at the olympics. Sources claim the pair weren’t on speaking terms weeks before the contest. Oliveira has announced she will no longer partner up with Pedroso. She intends to work on individual performances instead.
Sex amongst olympians during the olympics is widely gossiped about. 450,000 condoms have been distributed at the Rio Olympic village for athletes. Whilst sex is expected to happen, the night before your performance may not the be the best time.
The olympic diver’s sex marathon splits up her team beyond repair. Perhaps they were always going to split, but it does seem like a bad judgement call on her part.
Laser beam wielding exhibitionists dressed as pigs cause traffic jams
I wanted to include this story simple because of how ridiculous the title sounds. The village Insjön has 2,000 citizens, and two of them are possibly laser beam wielding exhibitionists who dress up as pigs.
They were first discovered by two siblings playing Pokemon Go. They pointed their laser beam at the teenagers, who ran home in fright. I would be fairly frightened too, if I walked across a two people with wearing pig shaped rubber masks were having sex in front of me, then started pointing a laser light at me.
They were later spotted by motorists, having sex by a waterwheel. Traffic slowed down as people stopped to spy on them. Their identities have yet to be found.
French schools use 3D printed clitoris to help teach sex education
There are a lot of stereotypes about France. However the country of love, prove once again, that they are forward thinking about sex education. They will now be explaining the clitoris using 3D printed models in schools.
The female sex organ is often glossed over in sex education. The focus is mostly on the reproductive abilities. However I think it’s just as important to understand the clitoris as it is to understand the uterus.
I personally believe it’s a step in the right direction for helping bring more equality between men and women. Boys and girls both understand that the penis can receive pleasurable stimulation. It’s important to teach that women can also receive pleasure.
