For all gamers out there, there’s a new kid on the block. That’s right, Harriet Sugarcookie has joined the world of online gaming. Add me as a friend on Playstation with my PSN HarrietSugarC, or join my community PawnstarsPlayGames.

This year I started to get back into videogames. It’s taken a while for me to get back into the swing of using a console, but my PS4 is now fully set up to play online. I even created a community (whatever one of those is) called Pawnstars Play Games. I would have used the word “pornstar” but Sony deemed it too rude.

To add me as a friend, just search for my PSN which is HarrietSugarC

Along with setting up my playstation ID ready to join the online community, I’m also hoping to get a forum up on my website so that we can have interesting discussion on another media platform.

I thought, if I’m going to do this online gaming thing, I might as well do it properly. When I was growing up, I didn’t own a Playstation or Xbox, but I played with my friends who did own them. It feels amazing to have my own now, and it’s so exciting being able to keep up with new games and join along with a whole community I’d never really taken part of before.

I love the idea of online gaming. It looks like a lot to figure out for a tech newbie like me. For instance, how do you get the microphone to work when you’re playing together? Do I need to get a gaming headset? How do I stop dying?

Of course, non of that matters until I’ve made some friends online to play with in the first place. I think a big draw to online gaming for me is the fact I don’t have to do things alone. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it’s nice to play a game by yourself, such as No Man’s Sky, which I love. However I’m just incredibly excited to play with more people.

Now I just need to figure out what games to play. I’m a hack and slash kind of girl. If you’ve ever managed to catch me on Twitch, you’ll know that I suck at first person shooters. I’m totally open to suggestions, and I even think that with a bit of practice, I’ll be able to get ok at shooters.

GAMES I OWN

Games I’ve played a tiny bit of:

No Man’s Sky

Destiny

Star Wars Battlefront

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Little Big Planet 3

Witcher 3

Games I haven’t played yet:

Grand Theft Auto V

Grim Fandango

Rocket League

Uncharted 4

The Evil Within

Until Dawn

I would love any recommendations for games that I should get, look out for, or getting hyped about. If you own a PS4 and play any of these games online, then add me as a friend and invite me to a quest or mission. I look forward to seeing you in the community and can’t wait to discuss all things videogame!
