Porn movies come in plenty of different genres, but, one of the most popular, are parody films. You know the ones, where fans get an X-rated version of a popular mainstream movie like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or The Might Morphin’ Power Rangers. Hell, just a few weeks ago — on May the 4th — we wrote about the different porn parodies of the sci-fi film Star Wars, showing just how long parodies have been around.
As it turns out, with summer blockbuster season nearing — when the biggest and most anticipated Hollywood films are released — plenty of porn watchers are finding themselves hunting for parodies. The top one? Well, to no one’s surprise, Star Wars.
That’s according to Pornhub, which released some data from May the 4th showing the search activity of some of its users. The results? Lots of people hoping for a dirty Princess Leia and lightsabers being used for sexual activity. Just look at some of the popular search terms from the day.
As one of the charts above shows, Pornhub saw an increase in Star Wars-related searches by a whopping 10,430 percent! When you add in the other Star Wars terms like lightsaber, Star Wars sex, storm trooper, Princess Leia and Star Wars XXX, among others, and you see that there are a lot of sci-fi geeks who just love their porn.
In addition to the Star Wars porn searches on May the 4th, Pornhub is probably seeing an increase in the topic because of the new blockbuster coming out this summer. With Solo: A Star Wars Story set to hit theaters on May 25, geeks and porn lovers are, no doubt, searching for the title even more than usual — and the numbers support that, with Observer reporting that guys are 59 percent more likely to search for Star Wars content than women, and visitors between the ages of 18-to-24 seeking out galactic porn videos 68 percent more than other age groups. There’s clearly a need for such porn.
But, it’s more than just Star Wars fans looking for their favorite X-rated porn parodies, as the entire superhero genre is picking up steam as well, with users looking for dirty movies of people like the Black Widow, Spider-Man and Captain America.
Porn parodies are often some of the best films in the industry. For that reason, it’s interesting to see how porn searches reflect some of the big movies that get released in Hollywood; with a different twist, of course.
