Some of you may or may not have noticed that this past week or so I’ve been in America. It’s pretty crazy that I didn’t warn anyone in advance, but honestly, it was a surprise trip even for myself. I wanted a fun way to end my summer and Disneyland sounded perfect.
Just arrived at the Shing02 concert (the music from Samurai Champloo) say hi if you see me! pic.twitter.com/z9tChhT5sF

The first clue anyone got of my surprise location was the tweet I made about a Shing02 concert. It was a wonderful, free music event in the heart of LA. Of course, most of the world was focused on the Mayweather vs McGregor fight which was happening in Vegas at the same time. For me, however, I prefer the relaxing sounds of chill-hop over boxing fights.
Omg America I love your Tato tots pic.twitter.com/rb7KXNOohQ

The second clue posted on the same night was about tater tots, not tato tots as I keep calling them. For anyone who’s followed my previous trips to America, you will know that I’m a big fan of these mini hash browns. Yes, that’s exactly what they are! Tiny hash browns in bite sized pieces. I’m sure you can buy these outside of the United States, but I’ve never done so.
Working with Amped Asia
By Sunday I hope that everyone had an inkling I was no longer in Europe. I spent the day working with Amped Asia. If you guys haven’t seen their stuff yet, then you should try to do so soon. I’ll be featuring on their alternative cover for September! Yes, that’s right, you’ll be able to buy a physical magazine with my face on the cover. The perfect Christmas present option for you friends too…
It was also very wonderful getting to meet Jenny Sakura, a very cute Vietnamese model living in LA. You can follow her on Instagram.
I did a photoshoot with Amped Asia back in April. This was my second time working with them, and it was just as fun as the first time. A really great media team. You’ll be able to read my full follow-up interview with them soon.
Food and Disneyland
If there are two things that are great about America it’s the crazy food options and also Disneyland. Disneyland I have never visited before, and I tried to eat things that I didn’t get a chance.
I’ve never been to Disneyland, but it was just about as magical as everyone told me it would be. I got completely drenched as Splash Mountain, to the point that even the staff told me they had never seen anyone get so wet. The downside is my entire bag got filled with water. RIP my ice cream purse, you served me so well. Also, my camera was in that bag so I lost a lot of the photos I took of this trip as well as the video footage I took for this week’s vlog. On that count, this week’s vlog will be a week delayed. Sorry!
It seems no matter where I go in America breakfast portions are always HUUUGE pic.twitter.com/JsiKLHEcew
